Bernice Nauta

The work of Bernice Nauta (1991) varies from drawing and painting within a devoted studio practice to site-specific installations and short stories and films. Throughout her practice characters appear that stand on the threshold between the visible and invisible, such as the figure of the stunt double. Nauta’s protagonists are on a quest for identity and continuously in search of a form. Next to her individual practice, she collaborates with a variety of people and is a member of the cosmic cowboy collective, Self Luminous Society.
